Reader Poll:
Were
You Born an Engineer? We Want to Know…
Ask engineers when
or how they knew they would become engineers, and you usually get a
pretty concrete answer:
- "My high school
physics teacher encouraged me…"
- "My parents
called it after I had disassembled the radio, my bicycle and my sister’s
doll’s eyes…"
- "When I stuck
that key in the wall outlet, I knew I would have to find out ‘why’…"
What’s your story?
What turning-point event or who inspired you to become an engineer?
Did you always know engineering was your destiny or did you just kind
of stumble into it?
Would you encourage
others to do the same? Why? How?
Please let us
know! Send your story to todaysengineer@ieee.org.
Be sure to include your name, residence city and state, and membership status.
